Barbentane

Castle from the 17th century

Residence of the Marquis de Barbentane since 1674, this “Petit Trianon du Soleil” owns a beautiful decoration from the 18th century and houses a collection of antique furniture. This residence is considered as the most Italian of all Provençal castles and it has survived the revolutionary period without any damage..

The House of the Knights

An ancient seigniorial house from the 12th century with certain 16th century additions, it is listed as a Monument Historique (a national French label which protects historic monument).

The Romanesque Church

Porch from the 15th century - listed as a Monument Historique.

The Anglica Tower

Built in 1365 by bishop Grimoard, the brother of pope Urbain V. It remains a wonderful testimony to the medieval era and is listed as a Monument Historique.

The Bretoule windmill

From the 18th century. It was built just before the French revolution. Its sails were stopped in 1845..
