Château Féodal
At the top of the Griffon hill stands the 13th and 15th century castle. Listed as a Monument Historique (a national French label which protects historic monument), this ancient fortress of the Comtes de Provence has been regularly restored and preserved during the last twenty years. Its guardrooms have been equipped to welcome both curious people and History lovers.
Guided tours will enable you to discover an extraordinary character, an unbelievably audacious military operation and lots of secrets about Benoit XII, a pontiff from Avignon. The tour provides a wide panorama which allows visitors to understand the complexity of the History of the Arles region, heart of Frédéric Mistral’s Provence.
