
It formed a dungeon with massive buttress and flying-buttresses pillaring a covered-way with crenels and machicolations. Some remains can still be seen. From 1842 to 1845, one of the bays and six chapels were extended. The bell-tower, with its four ornate Romanesque openings, is today listed as a Monument Historique.
A magnificent dovecote and a fascinating pyramid frame the entrance to the Beauplan domain. It is situated at the edge of the village, on the road to Eyragues
There are some beautiful detailed cast-iron crosses dexterously designed by the reverend Father Roy, who was the village priest from 1876 till 1894.
